Oak wood is a type of hardwood that comes from the oak tree. The wood comes from Europe. The factories that cut and process oak trees for SpecialS wholesale are in the Netherlands and Germany. From here, it is cut into planks and sent in containers to the factory in Indonesia. No oak is available in Indonesia itself, which is why this strategy is used. At the factory in Indonesia, the oak is dried and processed into our furniture. The furniture is then shipped to SpecialS or delivered directly to our customers.

- How is oak wood used in furniture from SpecialS?

Several product lines use wood-type oak. Oak generally presents itself as a kind of country-style wood that used to be very popular. This is mainly due to its grain structure. - What finishes are available on oak wood products from SpecialS?

At SpecialS, many different finishes are possible with the wood-type oak. In general, most furniture made of oak comes in brown. Besides this brown color, there is also a honey oak color, which is often used in the Studio Globe Wernicke line. At SpecialS, the brownish colors have the OM and OMD abbreviations. MYD is the abbreviation for Studio Globe Wernicke's mahogany color and MYL is a light, cherry-colored oak. Each piece of furniture is lacquered so that the wood retains its finish/color well. - How do I keep oak wood products clean and in good condition?

Want to keep oak clean and in good condition? Then warm a dishcloth on a heater or in front of a stove. Brush over the table with this cloth, this way you will get the color back on the table nicely and it will be kept clean. You can also go over the furniture with a wet cloth and then polish it off with a warm, dry cloth. The following should anyone be aware of:
- Use a soft, clean cloth, possibly slightly damp to wipe your furniture. Never use an aggressive cleaning agent as this can damage the wood
- Watch out for sunlight as it can discolor wood
- Use a cloth and when your furniture has become damp, absorb it immediately, otherwise, the risk of stains arises
- Do not place hot pans on a wooden surface or write directly on the table as this may cause stains or bleed
