Tiffany feet can consist of many different materials, including bronze, iron, metal, etc. We have three different types of tiffany lamps at SpecialS: Floor lamps, table lamps, and hanging lamps. These match beautifully with our furniture.

It is one of the most widely used wood species there is. Mahogany has no grain structure and a smooth appearance.

Mahogany is made into many different products by SpecialS. Many chairs, tables, furniture, and decorations have mahogany as their basic wood species. This is because mahogany gives a modern, smooth appearance to products. This appearance suits a modern, contemporary look that many people are in love with.

- Why do people choose mahogany wood for furniture? (Grain structure, appearance)

Mahogany is a type of wood that has a long shelf life and easy to work with. Because it has such a long shelf life, it is also easy to work with if something happens. Furthermore, the look already gives an idea of why people choose it - it is a very warm, fine appearance. There is no grain structure with mahogany. Lastly, Mahogany is rot-resistant and Mahogany wood is durable & resistant to termites, moisture, and changes in temperature.

Yes, mahogany comes from a certified plantation. SpecialS products are not made from wood that is harmful to nature. This way, we ensure that the planet stays healthy and we as humans can trade with a good and fair feeling.

- What finishes are available on mahogany wood products from SpecialS?

Mahogany is inherently a reddish color, almost a little orange. This gives it a unique look, with many different finishes available. The most common is the English mahogany color and the normal mahogany color. These are darker and lighter brown respectively. All our mahogany furniture is lacquered so that the color remains beautiful. The suitable finishes for each product are displayed on their respective productpage.

- How do I keep mahogany wood clean and in good condition?

Want to keep mahogany clean and in good condition? Then warm a dishcloth on a heater or in front of a stove. Brush over the table with this cloth, this way you will get the color back on the table nicely and it will be kept clean. You can also go over the furniture with a wet cloth and then polish it off with a warm, dry cloth. The following should anyone be aware of:
- Use a soft, clean cloth, possibly slightly damp to wipe your furniture. Never use an aggressive cleaning agent as this can damage the wood
- Watch out for sunlight as it can discolor wood
- Use a coaster and when your furniture has become damp, absorb it immediately, otherwise the risk of stains arises
- Do not place hot pans on a wooden surface or write directly on the table as this may cause stains or bleed
