Hawker Hurricane

The Hawker Hurricane was a fighter aircraft of the Royal Air Force. It was deployed during World War II and gained particular fame in the Battle of Britain.
The aircraft was designed by Sydney Camm, an engineer employed by Hawker Aircraft. The aircraft was capable of arming four machine guns of 0.303-inch calibre in both wings.
The Hurricane was used by a large number of other countries. Even before World War II, 20 aircraft were delivered to Belgium. By the end of 1941, 24 Hurricanes were delivered to the Military Aviation of the Royal Dutch East Indies Army. Other users included Finland, Romania, Greece and the Soviet Union. In total, about 4,000 Hawker Hurricanes flew with other air forces.
