Male Deer Antique Color. This bronze male deer is recreated after the original and is the largest deer species in Europe. Its antlers can reach about 1 metre high, or sometimes even higher. You can imagine what a spectacle it is when two of these large animals are fighting. Then they stand with their heads together and try to hit the other with those antlers. Often a branch of these antlers breaks off in the violence, but that does not matter, because a deer gets new antlers every year. The red deer is a herbivore. It still lives in the wild in Europe today.

Bronze statues
- How are bronze statues made?
Bronze Statues are made in the lost wax principle (cire-perdue). It is cast in a mold, which contains a wax sculpture. Where the wax then is seated, the bronze ends up. After that, the bronze is cooled and removed from the sculpture. If they are large bronzes, they are molded in parts and welded together. After that, they are raised with different finishes - in brown, silver, gold, or multi-color. Some bronzes have wooden bases, some bronzes have marble bases. Bronzes originally consist of two metals: copper and tin. 80% copper, 20% tin.
- Can bronze statues be outside?
All bronzes can stand outside. Bronze does not rust, but it does oxide. It will turn a bit green over the years and you may notice this. With brown or green bronzes this is normally not a concern, but with silver and gold bronzes it doesn't look that great. Bronzes can withstand all weather conditions, from rain to snow.
- How do I clean bronze statues?
It is best to keep bronze clean by using a dry, warm cloth. Place this cloth on the heater for a while beforehand. Should the sculpture be dirty, you can always use a clean, wet cloth to clean the bronze. Some specialists clean bronzes that are too dirty.
