Monte Carlo

Pietro iva, originally a fisherman, founded the shipyard in Sarnico, on Lake Iseo, in Italy, in 1842. When founded, the shipyard focused on repairing ships, building a good reputation for its high quality workmanship. Soon turned to full-scale boat building.

After World War I, it changed direction. Serafino, Pietro's grandson, took the helm of the company and it stopped building functional boats and started producing more luxurious, fast speedboats and yachts. This change of strategy was not without success and the company grew into a respected high-end boat builder in the 1930s. Under Serafino's son Carlo, the boat builder continued its success and yachts were among the best in the market.

After four generations in the hands of the family, Carlo decided to sell the company in 1969 to US-based Whittaker, a manufacturer of fibreglass and plastic. After this, the company changed hands several more times.

The Monte Carlo is a highly detailed model boat stands in any interior. It can be placed in the living room or office as a unique eye-catcher.
